DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Public Administration
PAY RATE: As per the CUPE collective agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
The Sessional Instructor will be responsible for a half credit course in the area of Public Economics (PUAD 5131) offered to students in the first year of the Masters of Public Administration program. The Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and administration of the class and be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultations. There may be additional course-related administration following the end of the course. The candidate reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
A Masters Degree in a related field and recent or current experience at the executive level within government departments is required. A preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. in the area of Public Administration. Previous university-level teaching at the Master’s level is required as is demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the Master’s level. Preference will also be given to applicants who hold or have recently held positions at the executive level within government departments and to persons with experience in Public Economics.
