Site preparations for the Student Union Building Renovation Project will start Friday, July 24, with installation of fencing and preliminary work for demolition and renovation. The fencing will remain for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2016.
 
This project involves mainly interior work to the basement, first, second, and third floors of the SUB totaling approximately 23,000 sf of the existing 104,000 sf building, as well as a new 1,500 sf entrance canopy expansion fronting on University Avenue and a 5,500 sf atrium expansion along LeMarchant Street.

There will be minimal disruption to vehicle traffic. Vehicular entry and exit through both gates to be assisted via traffic control. Deliveries will be scheduled before 8:00am and after 4:00pm whenever possible. Also there will be a loss of a few metered parking spaces between the SUB and Risley Hall. Access to the parking spaces will resume following the completion of this project.
