POSITION:    Part-Time Academic
Applied Study in Piano    
September 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:    Fountain School of Performing Arts    

PAY RATE:    As per CUPE Collective Agreement    

WORK ASSIGNMENT: A Part-Time Academic is required to teach the Applied Study in Piano from September 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. The successful candidate will work in consultation and coordination with the full-time Piano faculty.
Duties include, but are not limited to: teaching individual piano lessons and a performance class weekly; provision of a Method of Assessment and course outline; adjudication of mid-term and final piano juries and recitals; coordination of student ensemble requirements; grade submission as per department guidelines; announcement of end of term student ratings/evaluations of instruction.
This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:    Minimum of a MMus or its equivalent in Piano Performance and/or Pedagogy; significant professional experience in performance; proven successful pedagogical experience as a piano teacher; excellent communication skills; computer literacy.
