In the spring and summer months the Writing Centre is open in the Writing Centre Admin Offices in G25 of the Killam Library. The Centre has a reduced number of staff members during these months, but we continue to offer students support as they adapt to academic expectations. Office hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with additional times from 8:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. available upon request and staff/tutor availability.

If you are teaching a class in the spring or summer on the Halifax campuses or by distance education, please contact Dr. Margie Bohan at c.bohan@dal.ca. We can arrange a quick visit to your class to introduce the service (on the Halifax campus); we can meet individually with your students; we can connect with them online if they are studying at a distance; and we can help run a writing/peer review workshop. We can even come to your office and discuss ways to strengthen the writing component of your courses (e.g. course assignments, rubrics, and in-class activities).
