PART-TIME ACADEMIC POSTING

Position: Part-Time Academic
Department/Location: School of Information Management
Pay Rate: In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
Work Assignment: MGMT 2601 – Knowledge Management
The Sessional Instructor will teach the core Knowledge Management course (MGMT 2601) in the Bachelor of Management program during the 2015 fall term (September – December, 2015).
Requirements of the Position: Post-graduate degree, preferably in information studies and significant employment experience in Knowledge Management setting. Prior undergraduate teaching experience will be an asset and some research experience in Knowledge Management or a cognate area will be helpful.
The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation; planning tutorials; supervising teaching assistants; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students.

The Sessional Instructor will teach the online course Beyond Google (MGMT 3603) in the Bachelor of Management program during the 2016 winter session (January-April, 2016).

Requirements of the Position: Post-graduate degree, preferably in information studies; prior undergraduate teaching experience; and familiarity with online learning systems. Prior experience teaching in an online format will be an asset and some research experience in information retrieval, information sources, and/or information literacy will be helpful.

The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the class; availability for two hours per week (either in person or online) for consultation with students.
