HRM Public Consultation: University Ave Protected Bike Lanes ‑ March 11

Posted by Facilities Management on March 5, 2015 in Facilities Management

Halifax Regional Municipality will be hosting a public engagement session at the LeMarchant Place Atrium, 1246 LeMarchant Street, on March 11, from 4-8 PM, to present information and receive public feedback about the protected bike lanes pilot project proposed for installation on University Avenue. Along with HRM, Dalhousie will have representatives from our planning team on hand to provide details about our pilot proposal and answer questions.

The project requires Dalhousie to enter into an agreement with the municipality for the construction and operation of the bike lane. If approved, this would be the first protected bike lane in Halifax and will serve as an opportunity to test and understand the impact of this new type of infrastructure.

HRM’s consultation website can be found here.
