PART-TIME ACADEMIC POSTING

WORK ASSIGNMENT: ASSIGNMENT: INTD 3001.03 – Contemporary Debates Development Theory - Topic: Development as Happiness: From Growth to Well-Being. The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation. This class will be offered in the period of May 11 to June 2nd. There will be four lectures per week. They will be scheduled from Monday through Thursday from 5:35 p.m. to 8:25 p.m. The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. or M.A. in International Development Studies or closely related field. Experience and expertise in interdisciplinary approaches to Development Studies. Previous teaching experience preferred.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: INTD 4002.03 Special Topics: Children and War /held in conjunction with INTD 5004.03 Special Topics - Children and War. The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation. The course will be taught Monday through Friday, four hours per day for the period beginning August 17th to 28th. The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. or M.A. in International Development Studies or closely related field. Experience and expertise in the impact of war on children, the situation of child soldiers and the role of international organizations such as the United Nations and the International Criminal Court in addressing conflict and post-conflict situations for children and their families. Previous teaching experience preferred.

This class will be offered in the period of July 2nd to August 20th. This is an online class and does not include classes on campus. The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. in International Development Studies or closely related field with interdisciplinary research and teaching experience related to international development studies, environmental sustainability and economics. The instructor will be responsible for design and management of a fully online course with enrollment of approximately 40 students. Previous teaching experience including on-line teaching experience preferred.
