Information sessions about Dalhousie's Student Success and Retention

Posted by Student Services on January 21, 2015 in General Announcements

There is still time to register for this week’s information sessions for students, faculty and staff to learn more about Dalhousie’s Student Success and Retention Project. Improving student success, which leads to increased retention and graduation rates, is critically important at Dalhousie and is a priority in Inspiration and Impact: Dalhousie Strategic Direction 2014-2018.

On January 22 and 23 Dr. Jim Black, of the consulting firm SEM Works, will return to campus and, along with the project team, will present further information regarding the next steps for the project. The open sessions are scheduled as follows:

January 22, 2015 – 3:30-4:30pm University Hall (Halifax Campus), Cobequid Board Room (Truro Campus)
January 23, 2015 – 8:30-9:30am Tupper Link Rooms 2L3 and 2L7 (Halifax Campus), Cobequid Board Room (Truro Campus)

The sessions are available for registration via the links above, and we hope you will be able to attend. Additionally, the January 22 session will be available for live stream viewing from your desktop if you are unable to attend in person. Simply log in to Live Stream (you must create a Live Stream account) and search ‘SEM Works’ to locate the event. If you are unable to attend or tune in during those times, please visit the DalForward website after January 27, as we will post a link to the recorded session.

Queries are very welcome and should be directed to Krista Cross, in Student Services, who is the project manager for this initiative (krista.cross@dal.ca).

We look forward to seeing you at the information sessions.

Anne Forrestall and Fiona Black (project co-leads)
