Monthly Seminars at the Writing Centre

Posted by Writing Centre/Dr. Margie Clow Bohan on January 19, 2015 in General Announcements

The Writing Centre offers monthly seminars developed to help students grow in understanding of writing at university. With a better understanding of the documents and practices, students should be able to write class assignments with more confidence and competence. The complete list of seminars can be seen at http://www.dal.ca/campus_life/student_services/academic-support/writing-and-study-skills/events.html.

In January the following seminars are scheduled:

Tuesday, January 20th Lit Reviews Revisited (Learn how to write a focused literature review for courses and theses.)

Wednesday, January 21st Reimagining the Paper: Structure (Learn how to organize a paper beyond what was taught in high school.)

Thursday, January 22nd Intellectual Property Issues (Learn about acceptable writing practices that enable students to integrate source material into their own academic work.)

All seminars are held at 5:00 p.m. in room 2616 of the Killam Library.
