Planned Electrical Outages: Various Facilities on Studley Campus - Dec 17, 20 and 21

Please be advised that in order to perform preventative maintenance to electrical equipment on campus, several power outages are planned as follows:

Dalplex and Eliza Ritchie Hall – Dec 17

An inspection and testing of the electrical vault will result in a power outage to Dalplex and Eliza Ritchie Hall on Wednesday, December 17^th, starting at 1:00 a.m., and lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours. There will be no power available for either facility during this period.

Risley Hall – Dec 20

A power outage affecting Risley Hall is scheduled for Saturday, December 20^th, starting at 8:00 a.m., and lasting approximately 1 to 2 hours.  Please note that the building’s emergency generator will not be operational during this outage.

Killam Library, Studley Gym, Chemistry Building, Macdonald Building, Chemical Storage, LeMarchant Place and Howe Hall – Dec 21

The planned electrical power outage for maintenance to the transformer at the Killam Library has been rescheduled to Sunday, December 21^st, from approximately 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

This work will require a full power outage for a number of facilities:

• Killam Library (except the UCIS Data Centre, which will be fed from an alternate feeder on LeMarchant Street)
• Studley Gym
• Chemistry Building
  
• Macdonald Building

The following facilities will be supported by an emergency generator during the outage:

• Chemical Storage
• LeMarchant Place
• Howe Hall
