Call for expressions of interest and nominations for Vice‑Chair of Senate (Student Affairs)

Members of the University community who wish to submit expressions of interest or nominations for the position of Vice-Chair (Student Affairs) should send them to Chris Hartt, Chair, Senate Nominating Committee, University Secretariat, Room 210, Henry Hicks Academic Administration Building, by December 5, 2014.
 
This position is for a two-year term from July 1, 2015 to June 2017
                                           
VICE-CHAIR (STUDENT AFFAIRS)
 
The Vice-Chair (Student Affairs) provides oversight of all aspects of student academic integrity and student academic appeal functions. The Vice-Chair (Student Affairs) serves as an ex-officio member on the Senate Planning and Governance Committee, and is the Chair of the Senate Learning and Teaching Committee.  The Vice-Chair (Student Affairs) presides over Senate meetings in the absence of the Chair and the Vice-Chair (Academic Programs), and represents Senate at meetings of other groups as required.
 
Persons eligible to be considered for the position of Vice-Chair (Student Affairs) are:
·        Faculty Senators elected as of June 30, 2015
·        Faculty Senators who have served as Senators in the past
 
Senators will need to have completed at least one year of a current term on Senate as of July 1, 2015. It should be noted that Senators elected as Officers of Senate will receive automatic extensions of their terms as members of Senate until the completion of their term(s) as an officer.
