Do you have a child between the ages of 3 ‑5 years?

Posted by Psychology & Neuroscience on November 5, 2014 in General Announcements

What are we looking at?
Temperament, Parenting, and Preschoolers' self-control

What will participants do?
Typically developing children will be asked to complete game-like tasks that measure memory and self-control. These games involve finding toy animals or matching pictures. A parent or guardian will also be asked to fill out several questionnaires assessing the child’s temperament and social orientation, and their own parental style. Children will receive a small toy and stickers for their participation.

Where will this take place?
The games / tasks will take place at the IWK (or potentially at the child’s daycare or preschool if parents wished that we attempt to coordinate this with their daycare director). The games will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
