Looking for pregnant women to take part in a RSV surveillance research study

RSV is a contagious virus that can cause infections in the lungs and breathing passages. RSV is seasonal and typically occurs during the winter. Everyone can get RSV infection more than once and even several times in one year

Nearly all children under 2 years of age have been infected with RSV/ Children under 6 months old are at highest risk of serious disease and hospitalization. There is no approved vaccine for RSV.

This study does not involve any drugs or vaccines. It will provide information to develop a future RSV vaccine. You will be reimbursed for travel & parking for each study visit at the IWK.
