Did you know that if you are hiring an employee or a student to work in your department or faculty they need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to get paid?
 
Employees or students need to apply in-person for a SIN number at one of the Service Canada Centres prior to paperwork being sent to the Payroll Office.
