Job Posting: Director, Skilled Clinician Program

The Faculty of Medicine invites applications for a part-time director (2 days/week) to provide academic leadership in the oversight, management, design and delivery of the four-year longitudinal Skilled Clinician Program within the undergraduate medical education (UGME) curriculum. Working closely with the UGME curriculum leads, the Director will provide oversight for the blueprinting (clinical direction) of the OSCE examinations, integration of the Skilled Clinician Program across the four years with a particular emphasis in Med 1 and Med 2, the Volunteer Patient Program and assessment of student clinical learning throughout the program. The Director will oversee the design of the appropriate tools and strategies for the assessment of student performance and program evaluation and represent the Program to various constituencies. The Director also functions in a co-leadership role with the Managing Director DME-LRC to provide oversight of the Skilled Clinician Program with! in the context of the broader Learning Resource Centre role.

Interested candidates will hold an MD degree; a Master’s degree in education/medical education is considered an asset. Candidates will have a proven track record in academic/administrative management and leadership with a student-oriented focus and experience in curriculum design and assessment of student performance.

NOTE: This is an 18-month term appointment, with possibility of renewal.
