Introducing Dalhousie's new Brand Guide and Tool Kit

Posted by Communications and Marketing on August 22, 2014 in General Announcements

As part of the university’s effort to enhance our reputation, Dalhousie has a new Brand Guide and Tool Kit. This tool kit will help us present the university in a fresh, consistent and clear way.

Dal's brand standards are applied across all communication and marketing materials. One of the university’s strategic priorities is to build on our strong reputation, with the goal of securing a place as one of the top 200 universities in the world. Achieving this will allow us to attract the very best students, faculty, employees, research funding and donors. Consistency in how we present ourselves allows us to make the most of our strengths, differentiate ourselves from competitor universities and tell our stories in the most compelling ways possible — all of which contribute to enhancing reputation and position.

The Brand Guide and Tool Kit is built on insights gained from extensive reputation research, an audit of competitor universities and broad consultation.  It includes an explanation of the brand, how to use various visual elements and new tools such as a PowerPoint template, social media logo, etc
