In anticipation of the call for submissions for the 2014 Healthy Workplace Award at Dalhousie, this post will highlight Physical Wellness.
What you put in your body and what you do with your body strongly determines how well you feel. While most of us know the components of a healthy lifestyle, many of us struggle to attain the habits we seek. A key to making and sustaining positive change is to access the resources available to you that will support your success. Here are examples of just a few things at Dal that can help you reach your goals.
Eat Healthy at Dal’s food outlets, join Dal’s Weight Watchers At-Work program, or reach out to a dietitian to tailor advice to your needs by contacting our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) by visiting http://bit.ly/dalefap.
Move more with discounted employee and family memberships at Dalplex and GoodLife Fitness. Get cycling tips at Dal’s Bike Centre.
Visit the Healthy Dalhousie website (http://healthy.dal.ca) any time for more information on this topic and on the Healthy Workplace Award (deadline: September 30, 2014). Keep current by following the Healthy Dalhousie blog. Reach out for assistance by emailing HealthyDal@Dal.ca.
