POSITION: Part-Time Academic

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Social Work

PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching SLWK 2222.03 “Advancing Social Justice” Section 02 on Campus. The course will be offered in the Fall session, September to December 2014.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation, and evaluation of tests and reports. The part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Educational background in social work with extensive experience in social work (or related fields) is required. The successful incumbent is required to have solid knowledge of a variety of social work skills and the ability to impart these skills to students. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience is preferred.
