The Wallace McCain Learning Commons will be an open concept space dedicated to study. This facility is planned to be approximately 13,000 square feet, as a single-story addition to the Life Sciences Centre (LSC), and situated at ground level at the south end of Lord Dalhousie Drive. It will be connected to the LSC corridor adjacent to the Chase Building.
Groundbreaking will commence sometime this week, with excavation for site services at the intersection of Lord Dalhousie Drive and Castine Way. A partial street closure will be required and is expected to last into July, which may cause disruption to vehicle traffic at the intersection. Access to the parking lot at the end of Lord Dalhousie Drive will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2015.
