Position:  Part-time Academic Fall Term 2014-15

Department: Political Science

Pay Rate:  As per CUPE Contract
 
Work Assignment:  This part-time academic will be required to teach POLI 1050 Ideas, Politics and People, Fall term, September 4, 2014 to December 2, 2014.   The class is currently scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, 4:05 – 5:25. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
 
Requirements:  Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD, or nearly completed PhD, in Political Science. Previous university-level teaching will be an asset.

Work Assignment:  This part-time academic will be required to teach POLI 3520 Building Democracy and Peace, Winter Term, January 5, 2015-April 10, 2015.  The class is currently scheduled for Fridays from 10:35-1:25.  The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
 
Requirements:  Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD, or nearly completed PhD, in Political Science. Previous university-level teaching will be an asset.
