PHYC 2850 – Science and Economics of Climate Change
July 21 - August 15, 2014
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Department of Physics & Atmospheric Science
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
The teaching assistant's duties are as follows:
- attend meetings with instructors to discuss responsibilities.
- attend and participate in lectures.
- help students with practice problems and questions during specified tutorial hours;
- help grade student presentations.
- provide email and Bb Learn message board help.
- provide instructors with feedback regarding student difficulties and questions.
- mark assignments/tests as requested by the instructors
- ensure marks are submitted in a timely manner and re-mark if necessary
REQUIREMENTS: Masters or PhD candidate in Atmospheric Science in the Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest or experience in climate change.
