POSITION:        Part-Time Academic (July 2nd to August 29th)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  International Development Studies

PAY RATE:  As per CUPE Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  INTD 3012.03 Sustainability, Development, Economy.  The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation.  This class will be offered in the period of July 2nd to August 29th.  This is an online class and does not include classes on campus.  The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. in International Development Studies or closely related field with interdisciplinary research and teaching experience related to international development studies, environmental sustainability and economics.  The instructor will be responsible for design and management of a fully online course with enrollment of approximately 40 students. Previous teaching experience including on-line teaching experience preferred.
