Both University policy and provincial regulations require that individuals working with chemicals receive WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.
Stephen Beaton, Chemical Safety Officer, will be presenting WHMIS training sessions located in Room 3H1, Faculty of Medicine, Tupper Building.
Upcoming sessions:
Tuesday, January 14, 2014 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Wednesday, May 4, 2014 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Thursday, May 29, 2014 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
These sessions will primarily be targeted to those working in research laboratories, however, people working with chemicals in other settings will also find this session helpful.
It is strongly recommended that individuals trained more than 3 years ago, also attend these sessions.
