Teaching Assistant Position: University of King's College

The Contemporary Studies Programme (CSP) at the University of King’s College invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to handle duties in CTMP 2336.03W (cross-listed as CHIN 2052.03W), “East Meets West in Popular Culture”.
 
Description: CTMP 2336/CHIN 2052 is an interdisciplinary course devoted to examining intersections between “West” and “East” through the study of cross-cultural influences in popular literature, cinema, music, and comics in Europe, North America, and East Asia. Candidates may come from various fields but should have at least an undergraduate degree, some familiarity with East Asian cultural traditions, and an interest in East Asian and Western popular culture.
 
Duties: may include marking written assignments, holding office hours, attending lectures, invigilating exams, and meeting occasionally with the professor.
 
Class time:  Wednesdays 2:35-4:25 pm and Fridays 2:35-3:25 pm
 
Pay rate and hours: matches CUPE agreement at Dalhousie
