Department of Psychiatry Research Day

On Friday, November 1, 2013, The Department of Psychiatry held its annual Research Day. The Plenary speaker was Professor Tom Kirkwood from Newcastle University who spoke on the topic of “Mental Capital and Longer Lives.” Students and Faculty also showcased their research in oral and poster formats.

Beset Resident presentation: Dr. Jacob Cookey - Multimodal neuroimaging of white matter microstructure in early phase psychosis: the impact of early adolescent cannabis use
Best Jr. Faculty presentation: Dr. David Lovas - The Path from Childhood Maltreatment to Somatic Symptoms: Defining the Mediators
