POSITION: PART-TIME ACADEMIC – 1 Laboratory Instructor position

CHEM 2402B ORGANIC CHEMISTRY II LAB
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:
Department of Chemistry
PAY RATE:
As per CUPE 3912 Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
The Instructor is responsible for all aspects of coordinating, teaching
and maintaining the respective laboratory programs. This includes
setting up the experiments, supervising TA’s, giving weekly TA
workshops, ensuring the fair grading of laboratory reports, ensuring
Chemistry Stores provides solutions in a timely fashion and maintaining
the laboratory grades. In addition, the Instructor is expected to hold
daily office hours. This position reports directly to the Chair of the
Department of Chemistry.
REQUIREMENTS:
MSc in Chemistry or equivalent, preferably in organic chemistry; PhD
preferred; previous teaching experience in chemistry.
