Job Posting ‑ Endowed Chair

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University invites applications for an Endowed Chair position in the area of Mental Health Services and Outcomes Research. The academic rank for the successful applicant (i.e., Associate or Full Professor) will be commensurate with his/her experience. The position will begin whenever the Chair is filled.
The Chair is intended for a health systems scientist with expertise in childhood or adolescent mental health outcomes research. The successful Chair will focus on the development of a program of research in conjunction with the Mental Health Program at the IWK Health Centre to ensure that each child, adolescent, and family receives the best possible mental health care. The successful applicant will have a PhD in Psychology or an appropriate, related discipline, and will have at least seven years of experience in health services research. She or he will be committed to advancing child and adolescent mental health and will have demonstrated him/herself to be exceptional in research methodology as applied to outcomes research.

Dalhousie University is a leading academic and research institution in Atlantic Canada. The successful applicant will join a Department with a strong tradition in clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and neuroscience. Current faculty members in the clinical area are conducting important research on ADHD, anxiety, autism, conduct disorder, depression, eating disorders, epilepsy, female sexual disorders, gambling addiction, impulse control disorders, neuropsychology, pain, perfectionism, substance abuse, PTSD, and sleep disorders.
