Upcoming workshop ‑ Supporting student success: How to implement recommendations for students with learning disabilities in the classroom

Posted by Centre for Learning and Teaching on September 5, 2013 in General Announcements

Do you have a student or students in your class who have presented you with a form from Accessibility Services? It says that the student has been assessed to require adaptations to the way they are assessed in the course or the way they obtain support in their learning. This workshop will provide information on how to implement suggestions from the Accessibility Centre at Dalhousie for students with learning disabilities. This workshop will delve into the kinds of suggestions that are made for students with learning disabilities, and will provide participants with ways to incorporate these adaptations into the teaching of a course. Case scenarios will provide opportunities for discussion.

Facilitator: Quenta Adams, Director Advising and Access Services, Dalhousie

Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2013
Time: 12:00 to 1:15 pm
Location: Killam Library, Room B400
