PAY RATE: In accordance with Agreement between Dalhousie University and Canadian Union of Public Employees (http://humanresources.dal.ca/Files/Employment/CUPE_3912_Collective_Agreement.pdf).
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The teaching assistant will be responsible for duties, which may include: preparation of teaching material, in-class duties (tutorials, lectures, etc), marking, invigilation, office duties, and communication with students and supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Enrolment in a graduate program in relevant subject area; alternatively, a graduate of a Health Promotion or Kinesiology program. Applicant must be familiar with the subject matter. Previous marking experience would be an asset. The successful applicant must be available to meet with students throughout the term.

The successful applicant must have excellent grammar and writing skills and be available to meet with students throughout the term. Previous marking experience would be an asset.

Applicant must be familiar with the subject matter and have strong basic computer skills including the use of dietary software and Excel. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are highly valued. Applicant must be available during scheduled class (Mondays 4:35pm – 7:25pm). Previous instructional and marking experience would be an asset.
