POSITION:
One TA65 teaching assistant for each of the Fall & Winter terms of  2013/2014 (2 positions)
 
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:
Chinese Studies
 
PAY RATE:
In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
 
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:
 
The Teaching Assistant will assist with CHIN 1030.06 Introduction to Mandarin Chinese
 
- Marking student assignments
- Assisting with class discussions
- Assisting students with course requirements
- Conducting tutorials
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to registered students of Dalhousie University.  This position requires native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.  Previous TA experience preferred. Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction.
