Natasha Morrison has been selected for the AAPG Leadership Days in Tulsa. This is a great honour, as only 24 students are selected worldwide for this. Natasha is a member of the Dalhousie AAPG student chapter and was a member of the Dal Imperial Barrel Award team that represented Canada at the world finals in May where they received Honourable Mention. Natasha will be returning to Dalhousie in September to complete the 4th years of her Honour’s degree.
Last year Dawn Tobey was selected to represent Canada at the Leadership Days. Dawn was a member of the 2012 IBA team that was second in Canada. Dawn will be attending U of A in the September to begin her MSc studies. Dawn is working on the Sable MegaMerge data set for the summer in the Basin and Reservoir Lab.
The AAPG’s leadership training program is for students, primarily graduate students, as they begin to transition from student leaders into young professionals. “AAPG and Industry Leaders are made and attend this event”. The program runs from Wednesday July 24th through Sunday July 28th.
Congratulations Natasha and Dawn!
