The awarding of honorary degrees is an important feature of Convocation at Dalhousie University. These awards are important to the celebration of the achievements of our graduates and add to the distinction of the ceremony which graduates, their families, members of the Dalhousie community and guests will remember with pride and satisfaction.
The Senate Honorary Degrees Committee would like to encourage nominations from the University community to be submitted to the Secretary of Senate, University Secretariat by September 27, 2013. Please note that all nominations are kept confidential by the University and, to assure the confidentiality of the process, nominators should keep the nomination confidential from the nominee.
For more information on the Honorary Degree nomination process and to download the Honorary Degree Nomination Form, please visit the Senate website. All questions should be directed to senate@dal.ca or by calling 494-3715.
