On June 12, five Dalhousie employees will be recognized for their exemplary contributions to the university when they are awarded the 2013 Dalhousie Professional Management Group (DPMG) Award at the annual DPMG conference. This year’s recipients are:

  • Catherine Currell, Department Administrator, Faculty of Medicine
  • Bev Hubley, Director, ITS Business Operations
  • Ted Migas, Project Manager, Facilities Management
  • Lynn Power, Director, Human Resources, Faculty of Medicine
  • Gaye Wishart, Advisor, Harassment Prevention, Conflict Management, Office of Human Rights, Equity and Harassment Prevention

The DPMG award nominations were judged for outstanding performance or achievement in an area of the university’s Strategic Focus and in reflection of Dalhousie’s values through a particular project or strategic initiative and/or a consistent track record of significant accomplishments over the years.

The awards will be formally presented during the DPMG conference on June 12, at 3:45 p.m. in the Potter Auditorium, Room 1028, Rowe Building. All leaders, colleagues, friends and family are invited to attend the awards ceremony.

Photos and profiles of the award recipients will be included in an article in Today@Dal following the conference.

The theme of this year’s DPMG conference is ‘The Change Imperative’. This annual conference is an opportunity for DPMG members to network with colleagues, hear from some great conference speakers and learn more about relevant topics such as change.  For more information about the conference, visit http://www.dal.ca/dept/dpmg/Conference.html.
