DUTIES:
The instructor is to teach three courses in the fall term, and three courses in the winter term at the first and second year levels.  The courses will be two sections each of Math 1000 (Fall term) and two sections of Math 1010 (Winter term), as well as one additional course each term from among the undergraduate Mathematics curriculum.
The instructor is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the classes and in addition is to be available for three hours per week outside class times for student consultation.  The instructor will also serve as coordinator for Math 1000 and Math 1010, which involves collaboration and consultation with the Director of the Math and Stats Resource Centre.
 
The instructor reports to the Chair.
QUALIFICATIONS:  The candidate must possess a PhD in an appropriate discipline, and have experience teaching and coordinating large multi-section mathematics classes, as well as experience with WebCT.

The duties consist of teaching Stat 1060 (two modules each term plus coordination), Stat 2080 (fall), Stat 2060 (winter), Stat 3350 (winter).

The topics to be covered in the courses are available from the Chair of the Department.  Descriptions are also given in the Undergraduate Calendar for 2013 – 2014, published by the Registrar's Office, Dalhousie University.
 
The instructor reports to the Chair.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The candidate must possess a PhD and have experience teaching and coordinating large multi-section statistics classes.  Experience with the Minitab, SAS and R/Splus computer languages is essential, as is previous experience with WebCT.
