Dalhousie is playing a crucial part in the Nova Scotia Innovation Summit, taking place this week in Halifax. The summit, hosted by the Province of Nova Scotia in partnership with universities and the private sector, brings together stakeholders from industry, business, and academia to develop strategies that will create a more systematic approach to fostering and supporting innovation.
Dalhousie Vice-President Research Martha Crago (pictured above) is the event's MC, and Dal President Tom Traves and King's President George Cooper will each address the summit this afternoon. Featured on the summit's breakout panels are:
- Richard Donald, Associate Dean, External Strategic Partnership; Interim Associate Dean, Research; Faculty of Agriculture
- Sean Myles, Canada Research Chair in Agricultural Genetic Diversity, Faculty of Agriculture
- Marlon Lewis, Chair, Department of Oceanography
- Doug Wallace, Canada Excellence Research Chair in Ocean Science and Technology
