Work Assignment:  This part-time academic will be required to teach the fall/winter term September 5, 2013– April 7, 2014 of POLI 1103.06, Introduction to Government and Politics.  The class is currently scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:35-11:25am.  This is the department’s dedicated writing class section of its first year offerings. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the department.
 
Requirements:  Previous university-level teaching in undergraduate classes in political science.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching first-year classes.

Work Assignment:  This part-time academic will co-teach in both the fall and winter terms September 5, 2013-April 7, 2014 of POLI 2300, Comparative politics. The class is currently scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:35 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.  S/he is expected to concentrate on the developed world, using case studies in countries like Russia, Mexico, Britain, Japan and the United States. S/he is responsible for all aspects of teaching and administration of her/his parts of the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. S/he must be prepared to coordinate lectures and responsibility with the other instructor. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
