Daffodil Day, help a bunch!

With every bunch of daffodils purchased at Dalhousie, the Cancer Society is able to provide more services and programs, advocate for better public policy and invest in more research in the fight against cancer. YOU ARE MAKING AN IMPACT!

Did you know…?

• 3 bunches provides three meals to someone staying at the Lodge That Gives, a facility where Nova Scotians can stay while in Halifax undergoing cancer treatment.

• 14 bunches pays for one patient to stay one night at the Lodge That Gives.

• 14 bunches pays for a half-hour call from a Nova Scotian to the Cancer Information Service, 1-888-939-3333. This toll free line provides support to anyone who has questions about cancer, some recently diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, or someone whose loved one has been diagnosed, or just for general information.

• 43 bunches covers the cost of one day of child’s stay at Camp Goodtime, a week-long summer camp offered to 125 Nova Scotian children fighting cancer.

Deadline for departmental orders is Thursday, March 14, 2013
. The number of bunches and the exact dollar amount of the order is required. Daffodils are $8 per bunch. (order form)

Note: Information about Daffodil Day on the Agricultural Campus will be communicated at a later date.

Departmental orders for all campuses should be picked up on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm at:
Sexton Campus – Room 108, Engineering
Studley & Carleton Campuses – Lord Dalhousie Room, Henry Hicks Building
