At the Atlantic Geoscience Society (AGS) meeting, Evan Slater and Dawn Tobey won the Rupert McNeil Prize for Best Undergraduate Presentation. Lea Braschi won the Best Poster award. Grant Wach organized the meeting and will be the President of AGS for the coming year. John Thibodeau helped keep the AV systems functioning well. Martin Gibling helped the honours students prepare their talks, and Milton Graves organized the judging and represented Dal on the Science Atlantic committee.
Physics students won four prizes at the 2013 Science Atlantic Undergraduate Physics & Astronomy Conference. David Lake won first place for his talk, John Niven took home second and Patty Oliver secured third place. Mathew Britton won the Photonics award. From a total of seven prizes, four went to Dal students.
