Learning to write academic assignments effectively takes time - lots of time. Discussing your papers with a Writing Centre tutor or staff member will help you begin to understand writing at university. Seminars are also an opportunity to talk about writing conventions and improve your understanding of exactly what your instructors want. This week's seminars include:
Tuesday, February 12 - Intellectual Property Issues (learn about integrating source material into your academic assignments)
Wednesday, February 13 - Writing a Research Paper (learn how to structure an academic research paper; learn how different disciplines adapt the structure for their own purposes)
Thursday, February 14 - Writing a Science Paper (learn how to structure a science paper; improve your understanding of faculty expectations)
All seminars are held at 5:00 pm in Room 2616 of the Killam Library. Everybody is welcome.
