POSITION: PART-TIME OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY INSTRUCTORS: 2013             
 
January -April 2013:
Up to three part time Instructor positions to assist with the following teaching duties: laboratory tutors, marking, support with lecture preparation and management of BBLearn sites, preparation of case studies  and other teaching related duties in the following courses:
OCCU 5111 Fieldwork:
OCCU 5004 Assessment and Analysis:
OCCU 5005 Enabling Occupation 2
OCCU 5006 Wellness and Inclusion by Design & Technology:
Other teaching and profession specific activities such as preparation of professional content for web-site and development of a simulated client apartment may be required.
 
PAY RATE: According to the CUPE Collective Agreement
 
WORK ASSIGNMENT: Under the guidance of the Course Professor and/or Lab Coordinator, each Instructor will be responsible for support with lecture preparation, marking, and management of BB Learn sites. Instructor may also be required to attend on-site special events labs or exams. Off-site preparation, and/or office hours for some courses will also be required. Instructors are required to attend orientation sessions prior to the academic term (to be scheduled). As time permits, other duties required to assist with class and lab preparation and/or delivery or related to web-site or client apartment will be assigned and supervised by the Director.
 
REQUIREMENTS: MSc(OT) with excellent communication and  organizational skills; preference given to applicants with a minimum of two years practice experience and scheduling flexibility. Experience with student teaching/supervision and knowledge/familiarity with educative distance technologies will be an asset. Good computer skills and use of the internet required for literature searches and course support. Current registration as a licensed occupational therapist required.
