DEPARTMENT: School of Health and Human Performance

PAY RATE: In accordance with Agreement between Dalhousie University and Canadian Union of Public Employees (www.dal.ca/content/dam/dalhousie/pdf/hr/Academic-Staff-Relations/CUPE_3912_Collective_Agreement.pdf).

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The teaching assistant will be responsible for duties which may include: preparation of teaching material, in-class duties (tutorials, lectures, etc.), marking, invigilation, and office duties.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Enrolment in a graduate program in relevant subject area or a graduate of a Health Promotion, Kinesiology or Leisure program; alternatively, enrollment in a relevant senior level undergraduate program. Applicants must be familiar with the subject matter and have excellent communication skills. Previous instructional and marking experience would be an asset. Applicants must be available during scheduled tutorial or laboratory times throughout the term.
