POSITION: Sessional Instructor; Marine Mammalogy (Biology 4060/5651/Marine Biology 4060); January 1, to April 30, 2013
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The sessional instructor will share the responsibility for lecturing on the various characteristics, special adaptations, evolution, ecosystem roles, and population biology of marine mammals. Evaluative material (examinations, mid-terms) will be given and marked. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicant will possess a doctorate in biology with teaching and research experience in marine mammalogy. He/she will also have demonstrated ability in lecturing to students in an undergraduate course. First-time applicants to the Department of Biology must provide the names of two references.
