POSITION: PART-TIME ACADEMIC
PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Educational background in social work with
extensive experience in social work or related fields is required. A Master
of Social Work degree or higher and previous teaching experience, especially
in the subject matter of the course, is preferred. Distance courses are
taught in an online learning management system known as Blackboard for
distance delivery throughout Canada. Distance courses require on-line
availability for consultation with students.
JOB SUMMARY: The part-time academic will be responsible for the delivery of
course content, including course preparation, lectures, test preparation,
evaluation and office hours. This position reports to the Director of the

NOTE: While this course runs from January thru April, the in-class component
will be taught over a weekend in January and a weekend in March, with online
delivery and support in between.
