12:00 - 1:00 pm
Killam Library, Room B400

A fast growing number of Dalhousie Schools, Faculties and Departments have started to use curriculum maps. Maps can be used to transparently communicate a curriculum to students and instructors, identify overlaps and gaps, and provide a strong basis for reviewing and rejuvenating existing programs. Daedalus is a tool developed here at Dalhousie and is available free of charge to our community. While there are a lot of approaches to mapping, a growing number of academic units are using Daedalus to collect, communicate and analyse their programs, using a streamlined process. The basics of curriculum mappings will be covered, and a number of test cases will be presented to help you determine whether this tool can be useful to map your curriculum. A sample map can be found at: https://academics.cs.dal.ca

Although there is no registration fee, please register to ensure adequate materials are available. Contact CLT at 494-6641 or email CLT@Dal.Ca with your name, department, and phone number.
