Ever find yourself spending hours searching for articles only to get frustrated in the process? Never fear, the Dalhousie Libraries have organized a series of workshops on how to be an effective and efficient library researcher.

Library research can be challenging, just sifting through the abundant amount of resources to get to the information you need can be overwhelming. These sessions will give you the skills to make the most of your limited research time:

Becoming An Effective & Efficient User of Library Databases
Thurs., Oct. 4 -  11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Room G70, Killam Memorial Library

Let us help you navigate the research databases and journals available at Dalhousie Libraries. This session will cover the process from start to finish: choosing and refining your topic, choosing which library database is right for your research paper, understanding why "peer-reviewed" articles are so important, and how to get articles delivered right to your desktop (or laptop).

Becoming An Effective & Efficient User of Data Sources

Which data sources are available at the Dalhousie Libraries? This session is an introduction to the various data resources owned by the Dalhousie Libraries and the issues attending to the use of data research and instruction.

How can you make use of the great resources in Dalhousie's archives and special collections? This session will introduce you to Dal's archival and special collection resources while showing you how to access, use and cite the unique and valuable materials found there.

Managing & Organizing Your Literature
