» Go to news mainReminder: Pink Day this Friday
Pink Day was inspired by a male teenager who went to high school (in NS) wearing a pink t-shirt and was victimized by students because of it. The following day, a whole bunch of students wore pink to show their support to the victimized student and show the bullies that it was not acceptable. Hence Pink Day was born.
To follow suit, Dal each year hosts its event in September (hosted by Human Resources and The Office of Human Rights, Equity and Harassment Prevention) to encourage students, staff and faculty to wear pink and support Dalhousie as a respectful and inclusive place to work and learn.
Events:
Studley campus - Upper Quad BBQ (12-1 pm)
Carleton campus - Tupper Link, Free cake and apples (10-11 am)
Sexton campus - Alumni Lounge, Free cake and apples (10-11 am)
Agricultural campus - Amphitheatre, Free cake and Apples (10:30 am - 12:30 pm)
Brought to you by: Office of Human Rights, Equity & Harassment Prevention; Facilities Management; Organizational Health; Student Services; Dalhousie Student Union.
