In August 2009-2010, Dalhousie adopted a Sustainability Plan and Policy
designed to provide strategic direction for achieving sustainability
outcomes in campus operations. One of the requirements of the University
Sustainability Policy is to issue a public report every three years
outlining Dalhousie’'s sustainability efforts and to communicate on-going
progress. Phase 1 covers the 2009 -2012 fiscal year and a baseline year of
April 2008 -2009 has been selected.

In completing the report, the Office of Sustainability would like to feature
a few stories about sustainability within different departments and
faculties on all campuses (Halifax and AC). We invite you to share stories
that you might have regarding the changes that you’ve made towards meeting
the university’'s sustainability goals and supporting a sustainable Dalhousie
University.
