POSITION:  Teaching Assistant (Sept –December, 2012)
                                                               
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  Bachelor of Management
 
PAY RATE:  $21.53 (65hrs) (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
                                                               
WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The Teaching Assistant will assist with Mgmt 2101 – Intro Financial Accounting…..(Fridays…..11:35- 12:55pm)
      (Sept-Dec)
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Conduct tutorials, (Fridays 11.35am to 12:55pm, starting September 14th) and help sessions
2. General administration
3. Assist Instructor when needed
4. Meeting with students for assistance
5. Be available to assist with invigilating examination.
 
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The position is ideally for an Undergrad Accounting Major in 3rd or 4th year; or must have a high academic standing, with a Grade of A- or more in the Mgmt 2101 Course.  To be able to prepare and present tutorials and to be available for consultation with students.  Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction.  To be well organized.

MGMT 2101 Fall 2012 MARKER POSTING

POSITION:  Marker (3 position)  Sept - Dec 2012
                                                                               
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  Bachelor of Management
 
PAY RATE:  $14.63 hour (50 hours each)
                                                                                                                                                               
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The marker will assist with Mgmt 2101 – Introductory to Financial Accounting
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:    
 
Marking Assignments and Exams, as required
General Administration
Proctor MidTerm Exam,if necessary, as scheduled, during the Fall Term.
Each marker will be responsible for 1 section to mark assignments and record the Grades for the assignments in a spreadsheet.
 
Assignments will be collected at the beginning of class on dates specified – no late assignments are to be accepted) and returned the following week.
 
Be available to help proctor the midterm examination, if necessary, –  (TBD) and approximately one day following the mid-term to help grade the exam.
Be available one day following the final exam to help grade the final examination.
 
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Preference is for an accounting major. You must have a firm grasp of introductory accounting.  Must have completed  Mgmt 2101 or Commerce 2101 with an A or have
a comparable background in accounting. Have a good academic track record.  Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction.  To be well organized.
