Campus flags have been lowered in memory of Peter Herrndorf who received an Honorary Degree from Dalhousie in 2000.

The Faculty of Architecture and Planning honours the memory of Essy Baniassad. He was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in 1980 and over the next fourteen years he opened it to the world.
