The Tigers women's curling team took home the first AUS title of 2025 in a comfortable 6-4 win over the STFX X-Women on Sunday.
The team of skip Ally MacNutt, third Rebecca Regan, second Grace McCusker, lead Cate Fitzgerald and alternate Cally Moore, went 3-1 in round robin play over four days at the historic Mayflower Curling before claiming their sixth AUS title since 2016.
The rink will now look forward to the U SPORTS championship Feb. 24-28 in Lethbridge, Alberta.
On the men's side the Tigers team of skip Nathan Gray, third Owen McPherson, second Caelan McPherson, lean David McCurdy and alternate Owain Fisher went 3-2 in round robin and were eliminated from playoffs in a tiebreaker with UPEI.

Mixed results in exhibition play, regular season resumes Monday
Several other Tigers teams were in action over the holiday break in exhibition play.
The women's basketball team went 1-1 in the Kings College Tournament, beating Kings 65-32before falling to UPEI 68-63.
In Calgary, the women's volleyball team wrapped up their exhibition play with a record of 1-2, falling to the Dinos and Alberta before beating the second ranked University of Fraser Valley 3-1.
The 2025 half of the regular season resumes for the Tigers on Monday night when the men's hockey team hosts the Acadia Axemen at the Halifax Forum. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
